Of Spanish nationality, she began her studies at the Royal Conservatory “Manuel de Falla” in Cádiz to later move to Madrid where she continued to train in classical and contemporary dance techniques at ‘’Escuela de Carmen Roche’’ and graduated at the Royal Conservatory of Music and Dance in Madrid.
Carolina Armenta has staged works by Inger in dance companies such as SemperOper Dresden, Gauthier Dance and Alto Ballet Essen (Germany), Cullberg Ballet and GöteborgsOperans (Sweden), Aterbaletto (Italy), Basel Ballet (Suiza), Ballet de la Opera de Lyon (France), Cedar Lake Dance (New York), among others.
Between 1989 and 2002 danced with NEDERLANDS DANS THEATER (NDT) Holland, under the direction of Jirí Kylián and later between 2004 and 2007 with CULLBERG BALLET, Sweden, under the direction of Johan Inger, performing works of 20th century legends such as Jírí Kylian, Mats Ek, Nacho Duato, Ohad Naharin, Hans Van Manen, William Forsythe, Johan Inger, Paul Lightfoot and Sol León, Sidi Larbi, Stijn Celis or Jean Christophe Maillot among others.
Specialized in Choreography and Dance Interpretation Techniques, she has been a teacher at different institutions in Sweden and Spain. Teacher at «Centro Andaluz de Danza» (Seville) between 2010 and 2019.
